I Dig Daggers

This one is kinda different, even for me.
Three billet composit blade with some nickel thrown in the middle billet. Cable damascus fittings with a deep etch and filework.
Rosewood handle has a twisted wire inlay for extra gripping strength, and a snake skin inlayed sheath.

I'm pretty much more of a folder kinda guy. Of the fixed blades I really like, I dig daggers the most....and I really dig this dagger "the most"!

Way cool! Great blade, wonderful handle, and an awesome sheath to boot!

You may make a convert of me yet!

BTW- Just curious, what's the size?

Dennis

Yeah Baby!

Thats a great dagger..love the handle. How was the wire inlay layed in the handle?...I am guessing it fits into a groove, but how is it secured?

I love the symetrical lines of daggers.....they may not be the most practical knife to use, but they are fun to make and look good on display....Your dagger looks almost medieval...a great look.

Kevin.

Thanks guys, you build me up inside.

Dennis, it is exactly 12 inches from point to point.

Kevin, The twisted wire inlay rests in a groove that is cut 2/3 deep as the wire, so only 1/3 sticks out. The ends are tucked into tiny holes at each end. Then epoxy is used to give it a secure base.
This one is one of my favorites too.

Funny Alex, I was thinking of you when I made this one.

Geno,

Another Winner! That dagger has a terrific look, How does it go......Now that's a knife! I like every detail, but the guard and handle really put a nice finish to a great blade.

You are doing some topshelf work, Gene. I love it.

Fabulous Gene.

I've been trying to think what it is about your knives I like so much and I think the other guys have hit it on the head. It's that medeval earthiness, sort of elvish (in my imagination), something straight from Lord of the Rings. Forged in dragons breath and quenched in a mountain river - well, maybe not, but a ####ed fine knife nonetheless

No, I mugged a hobbit that was chasing an elf through the woods. And the elf didn't even share his gold with me.
