Inquiry
I'm using the Gravermax with the 901 handpiece and I was wondering, what is the actual point of the wide range of strokes available? I know that faster gives you a softer stroke, and I find the graver much easier to control in the 1800-2400 stroke range. Just wanted some outside input. Also, my hands are not extraordinarily large, but that little tool keeps shifting in my hand. Kinda thinking about turning a hardwood knob sorta like the knob on a hand graver and glueing it on the back so it would fit my paw. Any thoughts on the matter greatly appreciated.

I always found the best control to be around 1800 strokes.
Approx. 3000 for shading. You might consider using a rubber crutch tip cut back to slip over the butt of the handpiece... ...or glue a piece of moleskin on it and see if that helps a bit. Last resort...checker the butt end of the graver handle with a checkering file or cut it with a palm graver.
