I have about 7 years building knives and still learning as I go.......... I'm willing to help someone learn what I know, but I can only help during the weekdays (sorry no weekends or weeknights) because of the family. Being a firefighter I have most weekdays off. The only thing that I ask is that you provide the cost for materials, sanding belts, steel, leather, ect. You can check out my work at bebeknives.com.
You can contact me thru the website or by email @ beebee@neo.rr.com, just make sure that you say something about knives.

I'm fairly new at making knives, but anyone is welcome to my garage to see my set up, learn about some tools, or maybe even try them out a little.

I mainly do stock removal (fixed blades/neck knives) and kydex sheaths at the moment, but I'm always trying to expand my knowledge and skillsets.

Shoot me a PM and we can set up a time. I'll brew some coffee...

Hey John, small world!
Looks like you are seeking warmer climes (so here comes the prairie blizzards as a welcome).
Permanent move?
Hope you can still make it down to our corner for the Feb. Guild meeting. We'll feed you good.

Temp! Only a Temp shop, since starting this venture back in the very early 80's, I have had shops in Turkey, Germany(3times), Indiana(twice), Georgia, Alaska(5 Times), now Missouri, with eyes on South GA/Central Florida. One of these days I'm gonna bolt the grinders down. My 1272 Burr King has more stamps on it's passport than most people I know.
Just got the walls and ceiling up, gonna start insulation process tomorrow, even got a heater to keep the place warm. (That's a concept, considering it was -55 when I left work the other day). Probably won't get the grinders fired up before heading back home on the 2nd but sure am going to try.

Good news, just checked the schedule and looks like I will be able to make the Meeting over in Statesboro in Feb, might have to pick up some knives from customers to bring for eval.

Man! I couldn't stand moving around like that, not my style. Besides if I moved all my forge equipment, anvils and steel all at once and too quickly the earth would start wobbling.
Good deal on Statesboro, looking forward to meeting you, as will quite a few of these other guys.

Thanks to Carl aka Crex.
He spent a lot of time showing me the ropes, and was nice seeing him work and getting some insight into knives and knife-making.

I hope to get a few minutes of his time at the hammer-in.

Regards
Patrick
