Terrific!
Love that handle...inlay is great...is that Gold-lip? (entire pic is sorta "gold" so I can't tell...don't get me wrong, I like the pic a lot!) Interesting offset placement for that screw in the center...I lke it. and do I detect some filework up on top there (or could be some rastering in the photo ). Great knife! Dennis Yeah Baby! |

Many thanks for the compliments.
Bob, I have a blow-apart pic of a three inch model, if you would like me to post it. Dennis, just white pearl, I haven't got my light tent and white settings down pat yet. Thanks again. Steve |

Steve, your work is original and very pleasing to look at. I think we'd ALL love to see more. Especially any exploded views!
I'm just as curious about, YOU, though! Your profile doesn't offer me any further info and, heck, I don't even know your last name. Experience, full-time/part-time, mentors, website, etc? Please fill us in a bit so we can log you into our approval meter... Thanks for your posts. Coop |

Coop,
I've been making knives since I was a kid. I sold my first knife in '78. I'm a machinist/ toolmaker by trade. I'm presently a full time maker, but if the economy don't get better that may change. I learned the hard way. There weren't many mentors around when I started. I don't have a website, yet. I've never advertised, other than sending pics for the Knives Annual. I usually stay busy without it. My full name is George Stephen Copeland (Steve to those who know me). Just an old hillbilly who likes to make knives. A lot of parts, huh? Steve |

Actually, two-bladers have been around for a long time. George Schrade made them in the twenties and thirties. I had a two blade Remington when I was about twelve. Wish I still had it. I made my first one, like the above, in Feb. '97.

Wish I had caught that one. Phillips table was just a couple tables down from me, but I didn't see the knife you mentioned.
Thanks for looking and thanks for thr comments. Steve |
