Awesome work Doc! I really like the last one! That jigged bone just doesn't get enough credit as a great handle material!
How are those joints doin? __________________ Andy Garrett https://www.facebook.com/GarrettKnives?ref=hl Charter Member - Kansas Custom Knifemaker's Association www.kansasknives.org "Drawing your knife from its sheath and using it in the presence of others should be an event complete with oos, ahhs, and questions." |

I like all of them Jason, but love the Persian Utility. There's something about that style, don't quite know what it is, but it's an eyecatcher. Looks very user friendly-attacker deadly also. That's important in a dark alley.

Very nice work (as usual) -- nice choice of steel.

Thanks guys, I did these to use up my last batch of BG42 since I've kinda decided that most of my stainless work would now be in S30V. I am very impressed with the edge holding of BG42, but S30V seems to have the edge, literally, with the customers. More people seem to know about it.
The joints - not too bad, occasionally, I try a few manouvres I shouldn't and the twinge of pain or my finger getting bizarrely bent into a position it shouldn't be in, reminds me why I'm taking a rest. Michael, I am working on a variation of your suggestion of the sanding stick; it involves using my arms and the heels of my hands, so fingers crossed, I should be able to do some nicely finished knives shortly. Jason. __________________ JASON CUTTER BLADEART Jason Cutter @ Dr Kwong Yeang Knifemaker, Australia (Matthew 10.16) |
