First Class in a while....

at least for me. Just finished up with Mr. John Baker from Texas. What a wonderful guy! I don't know why, but I always marvel at how God always seems to send the best people my way.

I have to admit that after not have taught a class in nearly a year, I was a bit rusty, and am flat worn out now that the class is over, but John was just fantastic to have in the shop. He picked up quickly on every concept and step that I teach.

Look for good things from John down the road....he's got great potential as a knifemaker!

Now get rested up so you can get back to that mosaic can Damascus. I already fell off the edge of my seat waiting. How's the health doing? Good I hope.

Docs are still chasing stuff with me. I go back for a chest CT on the 26th to see if that month of "treatments" did any good. Had a prostate biopsy last week.....no cancer there, but it's enlarged and my PSA is too high. Finally, had an appt with a Gastro Doc yesterday (my lipase is 800, high normal is 200).....he wants to do some kind of test that only once Doc in the stat of Montana does.....gotta wait and jump through the hoops to get a referral from my military Doc for that one.

I still feel lousy most of the time, and guts are laways hurting, but I've just turned it over to God, and keep on going as best I can......this getting old thing just ain't no fun!

Got LOTS of damascus to make. so this coming week I'll be in the forging shop just as much as I can.....first on the list is to finish up that Mosaic and post more pics.

Glad you're back at the classes, Ed-I'll bet he had a great time. I need to see about getting back up there again for some more learning.
