knife handle
Hey all My friend chip made this handle for me to make a knife with.

Gentlemen,
Pardon me, but is this knife to be used? The motif / craft is beautiful, but will it be functional? Most American Indian pieces I have seen are something to be used, that piece of antler looks awkward to me. I guess I'm ignorant, do you cut the rest of the antler away to make a useable handle? Please dont take offense, I'm trying to learn. The pieces on this forum are all exceptional from artists that know much more than I do. Please comment to clear up the mystery. Happy New Year, Kent |
