New guy and first post

It seems like this is the place to go for a knowledgeable answer. I just picked up a Zero Tolerance with G 10 scales. I'd like to seal it to match the feel of my Benchmade 710. I'm looking for a recommendation on what to use, something that won't wear off over time in my pocket. I'm thinking clear fingernail polish just won't stand up.

Not knowing what the handle of a Benchmade 710 looks like in respect to a Zero Tolerance with G10 scales I don't know what you are aiming for, however G10 is a fiberglass product impregnated with a resin. There's no sealing it, just coating it with a finish. If you are looking for a high gloss, based on your idea of coating it with fingernail polish, you might have to sand it out to a finer grit, like 2000, and then buffing. Just remember, if you try it and don't like it you may be stuck with the end result or replacing the scales.

I've used a lot of G-10 and agree with Doug - there's nothing you can put on it that won't wear off. You can sandblast it to get a rough finish or you can polish it to get a shiny finish but anything you paint on or even bake on will wear off in your pocket ...

Ok, thanks guys. Seeing as I don't have the proper tools to polish, looks like rough texture it'll be. I'll just look into some custom aftermarket options.
