Knife features: 14 1/2" overall, 10 1/4" differentially etched pattern weld blade, Textured wrought iron guard, Pigskin leather wrapped over a stabilized grip core. Scabbard features: Leather cover over a leather core with leather risers, textured mild steel chape and locket, supension system, Hand-carved patternweld skull, and textured patternweld buckles. The textured plate on the scabbard reads in Latin "Liberate Vosmet Ex Inferis" "Liberate Thyself From Hell" Cheers, John Gage Last edited by John Gage; 03-01-2006 at 05:50 PM. |

Hi John,
Nice opening statement. I've never heard of you or seen your work, but I am pleasantly impressed. Looks like a niche that you cover well. Thanks for joining. Please tell us a bit about yourself. Coop |

Thanks. I have seen you around Don Foggs' forum a bit and love the photo work that you are doing!!!!! Because of your insite i am working on a setup where i can take better pics of my blades. I have been smithing for about 5 years and a recent former head cutler at Albion Armorers. I decided to pursue bladesmithing full time on my own, its a tough gig but i am hoping i can keep it up for as long as possible. Cheers, John Gage |

Interesting stuff, John. Do you by chance have a table at the Janesville or Edgerton shows?
