Hello, new newbie here.

Hello guys,

Well as the title says. I'm still newer than a newbie at knife making. Just checking in here hoping to learn a lot from you guys. I'm in Upstate SC and working out of a shed. Have been doing mostly research right now. I did make a blade last week I will post pics. Criticism is allowed and accepted. Please tell me what you like and don't like. Thanks for looking.

For some reason I can't upload a picture.

You'll need to participate for a while before the system allows you to post pictures. Meanwhile, welcome aboard and fill out your profile so other makers in SC know where you are. Someone might let you visit their shop ...

Welcome to the adventure and the KNF.
Might be a bit of a drive for you, but you are welcome to come to the Georgia Custom Knifemakers' Guild meeting in Alto, GA next month. This will probably be the closest meeting to you we'll have this year. All free and all good.
Details can be found down in the "Organizations and Clubs" section here on KNF.
Great potential for networking. There are a few makers over near Hartwell that usually attend.
I'm sure there are plenty of makers in the Spartanburg area, but you might have to do a little digging to find them. Any time you can spend with an experienced maker is well worth the effort.
