What happened to the idea for the CKD name tags? We have the Canadian Guild show coming up and I had hoped to have one for the show. I am more than willing to pay a reasonable fee + shipping. This seemed like a very hot idea for a while.
Thanks Steve __________________ Stephen Vanderkolff Please come on over and check out my website. http://www.vanderkolffknives.com/ Thanks |

A group of us went up together to the ECCKS in NY a couple of weeks back...In advance of the show, Ron Nott's wife (who's more than a little handy with her computer), made personalized CKD name tags for the 5 of us to wear around our necks. She scanned the CKD logo and applied it to the tags...
Not only did they look great but garnered plenty of attention. I really enjoyed walking around the show proudly displaying my "colors"!!!! Dennis Greenbaum Yeah Baby! PS. Of course I'll be wearing my tag next week at the Shenendoah Valley Knife Show...making sure I "represent" |

Dennis,
Alex is always so busy... but I know he likes the idea. Any way you could make the ones you guys have available? |

Jon-
Ron's wife is another one who's busy all the time...I'm amazed she found the time to do these...Maybe I can get the file from her and see what can be done. They're really no big deal...It's nothing more than the logo from up top of this page and some space left underneath for your name. Make it card-size, print them out, and insert in pre-made plastic hang tags. Pretty much anybody with a computer (and a touch of working knowledge ) can easily do the same... Dennis,
If she has the file saved, send it to me and I'll see what I can do with it. __________________ Pat Osborn |

Sorry I took so long getting back, I'm getting ready for this weekend's knifeshow in VA and have been crunched between my new job and staying up late trying to get my latest knife finished in time...(Finished at 3:30am last night...whew!).
Ron Nott and I will be sharing a hotel room at this show...I'll be sure and ask him to ask his wife. I can't imagine there'd be a problem...they're good people. The Shenendoah Valley Knife Show in Harrisonburg, VA starts at 2:00pm tomorrow and runs through Sunday. Stop by and say hello (if you can find me, I hear there's about 400 tables!) If someone can handle passing them out to the CKD members...I have access to plenty of Graphics programs and a nice set of Color-Laser printers. I'll be happy to print them up on some nice paper or even desgin a couple of different types and let everyone vote on which they like.

Thanks for that generous offer MIke...I'm not sure I can think of an easy way to get tags out to CKD members...It's one thing when you're talking about 5 or 6 tags ...then cost is no big deal...but when you start making in the hundreds, or more...well that's a different story.
Maybe it's best to post a file that anyone can download and print out. That way CKD members can make their own tags on an as-needed basis. Dennis Greenbaum Yeah Baby! |
