Hondo, here's a sneaky finishing trick I discovered.
Know those floor buffing pads for waxing? The coarse ones used to strip wax.
They work great for doing your semi final finish, just trim to bench grinder size and go for a slow (750-1000rpm) speed.
Try it, dare you.
