I've got one hanging in a tree just outside my bedroom window-I really enjoy watching how they
get along (or not) with each other...The Doves are real mild mannered and polite, whereas the
Bluejays will eat anything that don't eat them first.Cardinals,woodpeckers,sparrows,cowbirds and
3 crows I call the Marx brothers.
Makes me feel good to know I'm helping them get through this winter, as it's been a cold one.
I buy hen scratch at the local feed store,$7.00 for 50lbs.By contrast, a 5lb bag of bird-seed costs $4.50...kind of a no brainer...I'll help them through March, then they"ll be able to make it on their
own 'till next winter.....
these little goomers are so cool...
