Hey guys, I haven't posted for quite some time but I talked to Ray and it looks like I'm going to participate in this one myself. Ray, I'll tell you up front that since a hollow grind isn't required, I'm probably not going to do one. I've done several in the past but my grinder requires a slightly thicker steel to get good results with that style of grind due to the diameter of the wheel on my grinder.
Anyways, Ray or someone else knowledgeable, what makes a good bird and trout knife? Judging from the pictures Ray posted, it's a small. lightweight knife with a short, drop-point blade that's used to clean trout and small game. Are there any other details I'm missing?
