Exploding belts!
I wasn't sure were to post this so I hope it's fine here, but anyway I just had a belt explode on me and it scared the #### out of me. I was trying to bring the plunge cut back on a flat grind like I normally do and out of no where I hear a loud explosion, it was as loud as a shotgun. The belt grabbed ahold of my hand and slammed it on my workbench where my grinder is mounted on. I then looked down and there was the belt totally shredded. I just wanna know what causes that to happen cause I wasn't doing anything different then normal. So if possible please let me know if you have an idea why this happened so maybe I can prevent it from happening again.
