I would like to add to the congrats for RJ. Besides being a superb knife maker, he is also a great teacher and mentor to new makers like me. I posted a question a while back concerning heat treating D-2 steel when I switched from 0-1 to D-2 for my hunting knives. He not only took the time to answer my question, but gave me very detailed information, via several emails, that allowed me to improve on my knife steel. He is well deserving of his trade, and I will always hold him in high esteem. I can say that also for other great members of this forum that is willing to pass on their learning experience to us newbies. One of the reasons this web site is so great.
