Older Grizzly "Slow Speed Grinder"

Hello

As I've said in other posts, I haven't yet made a knife, but I'm reading and learning and gearing up to get started. I plan to make my first knives using hand files and sand paper until I start to get a feel for everything.

With that said, I have this bad habit of searching the local for sale ads and ran across this Grizzly "slow speed grinder" for $80.00. What I'm wondering is if it would make a good addition to my shop for knife making. I'm think too that maybe it could be converted to a 2x72 grinder, or maybe the motor would be useful to be used on a no weld grinder build, or maybe it could be turned into buffer, or?

Here's a picture - They say it's a Grizzly model # G1036 purchased a few years ago and not used much.

Thanks for any input!
