Oh to add to what Ray said, you can also use wet dry sandpaper cut and stretched tight taped to a stick or wrapped around the file if the metal is too hard on your file, use 50-60 grit to start and finish with 220 or so. If you have a grinder (bench, belt or angle) you can use that, but just make sure not to get the steel hot, keep a wet rag handy or bowl of water and cool it off after every pass and go lightly near the edge and I do mean lightly.

Now it says Guru and it used to say Master. I think I like Master better, though skilled would be the best description
