Step number 1 build a forge and learn to heat treat....unless your going to send out the knives for heat treat...I was told early on a knife with no good heat treat is just a knife shaped object not a real knife...that was the first and in my opinion the most important thing I learned....it is a bit of a process of trial and error I was walked through the process and in turn I have helped a couple other new guys through it...as ray said that is what we do here let us know when your ready...........also I am in NY about half hour above the city if your anywhere near by let me know
