Course #3 : Kydex sheath making
This course teaches the basics of making a kydex sheath for your knife, or a holster for a handgun.
We'll teach you how to cut out and heat form a sheath or holster to custom fit your knife or gun.
Materials required are a sheet of Kydex and Kydex rivets.
The minimum equipments and tools required are:
1. A hand drill, appropriate sizes of twist drills for the rivets, a coping saw or jeweler's saw, a file, sandpaper, rivet setting tools, an electric heat gun or hair dryer, and a pair of cotton gloves.
2. Suggested additional equipment:
Drill press, thick, dense foam rubber, a belt sander, a band saw, and for really professional looking sheaths, a Kydex press.
You will be able to make a very good sheath using the basic minimum tools and will also learn how to make the same sheath using a Kydex press.
