I've broken the tip of the blade of my beloved Cai Dao as you can see on the pictures

On the blade it's written 8Cr13MoV, I guess it's the steel alloy.
Is there any way I can cut out straight the broken part without ruining the temper?
Is that possible to cut this blade using only hand tools?
