Yesterday we wrapped up the Forged Knife Class at Montgomery Community College in Troy, North Carolina. 4 days of forging and grinding steel to make knife blades. Our instructor for the 4-day class was Bill Wiggins.
11 students participated in the class and they all did a great job while having an incredible amount of fun.
Bill did an outstanding job of teaching everyone the basics of forging knife blades, heat treating the steel properly, grinding the blade, and installing a handle on the knife.
We are looking forward to the next time we get Bill to the school.
