The owner bailed out on me about halfway through this so it is officially mine. I gave him $20 since he said he'd paid $10-$15 for it at a garage sale.... and frankly, the guy is down on this luck. I didn't put much money into it but a lot of time.... which was extremely fun! My first work shaping and attaching pommel and guard on a knife so it was a valuable exercise for me. Actually, first work on any type of stick tang. I find the leather work to be pure fun and need to invest in more tools/stamps/literature. I still have a lot to learn there too.
It'll ride nice on my gun belt for open carry as a utility knife at my mine so I'm glad things worked out the way they did.
Thank you participants of this thread for the inspirations and kind words, especially Tony. You guys are awesome and always so helpful, even to the little pups like me.
