Randall Mod 18 eBay listing

There has been discussion on another forum about questionable listings on eBay, and the importance of knowing your knives and sheaths before bidding.
One such listing is for a Randall Mod 18 claiming 1963 manufacturing.
The knife is of later date, but so is the sheath.
As we know a sheath made in 1963 would have a split back, and the location of the rivets are wrong, also the type used.
Also note the reinforcement back stitch at the throat. The riveted sheath didn't have a back stitch. No need, thus the rivet.
So it seems the sheath post '72 may be original to the knife, but the rivets were added.
I sent a pm to the seller, and he had made a slight revision, but unfortunately it appears after all the shipping info down at the at very bottom of the page, and at that, he doesn't reveal that the sheath originally didn't have rivets.
I think once you have bids on an item, you can't revise the description or the Item listing.

What do you think?
