Problem with Lowes, or any of the big stores is they may have the #######, but not the screws. The smallest they carry is like 4-40, nothing smaller and some of those are probably 2-56, or smaller metric than 2.5 m screws. I even went to a Fastenal store and they don't carry small folder screws either. May have to buy a screw gauge and order online unless there is a fastener store that does carry itsy bitsy screws.
Big pain, especially if the screws are metric as with some of the small ones they might fit in a standard size gage, but a little loosely. You don't want loose fitting screws. If there are any specialty hardware stores where you live or even a Fastenal they should have gauges you can check them with.
