I'm not, but Rob Simonich is sort of taking the lead in that world. I have one of his blade with the Boron Carbide coating, and it's holding up extremely well. They will eventually wear, but very little. Most often what you take for wear is actually something else that's rubbed off onto the coating. It just cleans off.
At Blade, Rob showed me an example of their new Diamond coating. Yep, real Diamond bonded to the steel.
