Miniature Bowie. First start-to-finish.

This one has a bit of backstory so pics first:

So back around 2005 before my uncle passed away he hooked me up with a micro forge in the hopes I'd make some good miniatures. I forged about 6 crude blades and never got too much farther. I went to the basement looking for old files last night to make blanks with and stumbled across the last one I had after the divorce. I apparently got the temper well enough that it made for a good skew on my lathe. I went ahead and dragged it to the belt sander and went to town and decided to make a miniature Bowie out of it. I made some mistakes as it was my first time trying something like this on the belt sander and due to the crude nature of the blade it had a lot of low spots that took a long time to grind past. The tang is really thin, I fell back on the brass pins, epoxy and scales to bolster it which seems to have worked out. I know it's a little bit of a dog but I feel like it was a good run for a first attempt.
