Yep, I use my belt sander and 220 grit to get the initial bevel on there and finish with my medium EZE Lap Diamond sharpener by hand. If I want it sharper I hit it on a hard Arkansas stone. I learned to do it by hand and the best advice I could say to you if that is how you want to go is think of slicing an apple real thin and that's how I learned on a stone. I take my knife across the stone at an angle of about 15 degrees and do it like I'm slicing an apple with a twirl when I get to the point of the knife. I should make a video on how to sharpen a knife, I know several methods.lol
