OK.... I have finished this Bowie resto-mod project and updating with pics.
I love the blade patina and didn't fight it. Managed to get a very good cutting edge (with a lot of work). Sheath is designed slightly high on the belt so this bowie isn't a leg slapper. It will now have many more years of useful service instead of being buried in a landfill.
