Yes, exactly. A 30# spring inside the vertical receiver that pushes up on the tracking pillar. I got the idea from Alaskabearhawk on YouTube. He has several grinder vids and explains how he did his platen and large diameter contact wheel.

I also rigged a 4" crowned caster wheel into a drive wheel by pressing the roller bearings out and pressing a bushing in for the 7/8" keyed shaft of the motor. Works really well and has no problems with the RPMs.
