    Hi Mitch
If you can pick it up reasonable they are very useful for many different needs in the shop , I find after getting used to that I have a lot of control with it , bit of a learning curve as it was my first dognose style hammer , the Oldtimer I bought my 50 lb trip hammer from handed it to me when I left , so it was a throw in , that aside and to answer your question directly , yes I would definately buy one if I had a chance , hope this helps some

    Kind regards
    Rob

Just looking about and saw you "avatar" w/ the "saw hammer" and anvil. Question: do you use that hammer? and if so, how do you like it? I have a chance to buy one locally, an old one w/ a nice face. Just wondering how they perform in knifemaking

regards, mitch wilkins - ABS Journeyman
