Picture David Boye style knife my way
This is what I'v been working on between working on orders. I don't like not being creative , so I throw something different in. Not my design but my guard and bolsters.
OAL 8 3/4", blade from tip to plung is 3 7/8", steel is D2, Finished to 400 grit. Stainless bolsters dovetailed, handle is maple burl cut side grain.
Thanks for looking and tell me what you think about this style of knife.

It is a gaucho knife, forged in carbon steel 52100, of integral construction.
Blade with satin finish, sculpted collar the file in the traditional format and polished finish. Pommel and "ball" in stainless steel with lime works and polished.
Handle on a beautiful wood stabilized, Maple burl.
Sheath in pigskin, dyed and hand stitched.

Hi friends, follow the photos of my last creation.
It is a gaucho knife, forged in carbon steel 52100, of integral construction.
Handle in Jacaranda da Bahia, in oval format, pommel and "ball" in stainless steel, both polished, knob with random cuts made with goldsmith's saw.
Collar and fake wire carved from the file and polished.
Pig leather sheath with exotic leather dyed and hand stitched.

1084 brass bolsters, 3/32 brass pins, Stabilized Swordfish Bill scales. deferentially heat treated 58 on the balde/45 on the spine. Flat grind with a relief grind on the spine of the full length of blade. about a 9" blade, 5 " handle. about 14" Over All Length.

OAL 8 3/8 " ATS34, blade is 3 1/2 " long 416 bolsters with black spacers and the handle is stabilized Amboyna burl. still have to put my name on it and make the sheath. And the file work is what I call "Duck Walk".

Picture First attempt at razor
This is the prototype of a renaissance style razor. It still needs lots of work and mathmatics to get the bevel to a 14degree angle. I did discover that is 25mm or just 1 inch your not used to using metric. I made it to work out finger placement and size of the handle, and get an idea of how large to make the blade of the razor.

Just made my first straight razor, thanks for looking and would love any comments. Forged from a file, careful heat treatment for fine grain size, hardened to HRC 62, hollow ground. Wenge handle. Best,
